Google Launches A New Android "Smart Glass" in 2013

Google is one of the leading company around the World. They are able to produce quality contents and products. With a great initiaive, Google has produced the world's first "Smart Glasses" .But it will be on sale only in 2013

This will offer a cool experience – Terminator-Style smart glasses with motion-sensing capability relying on 3G or 4G wireless connections – displaying information based on “location, preferences and Google’s massive information”. The computer glasses with transparent screens superimposing information on the real world will run a version of Google’s Android and with its powerful search and GPS capability, this could be another gadget that could swing Apple’s iPhone users away.

The smart glasses will most likely use a transparent LCD or AMOLED (from Samsung)  and will have a low-resolution built-in camera that will be able to monitor the world in real time and overlay information about locations, surrounding buildings. Thanks to Google’s cloud-based services, you may not even need to bring along your smartphone in order to access the internet.

The Terminator-Style glasses prototype is said to resemble the looks like Oakley Thumps Model. As a start, the front-facing built-in camera would be extremely small with only a few megapixels but with capability to take pictures and probably flash to help at night, you’re talking about a walking cyborg. The heads up display (HUD) is only for one eye and on the side.

It will also function like a mini smartphone as it will include voice input and output, and possibly a
1 GHz ARM A8 CPU with 256MB of RAM and 8GB Of storage. It’s an open secret that Google is working on (or already in possession) a voice-control system similar to Apple’s Siri so the gadget could do away with the need for a touchscreen at all. However despite all the bells and whistles and excitements, Google is actually unsure if the gadget will have mass-market appeal.

To start with, the smart glasses can cost anywhere between $250 to $600. Also, there’s Privacy Issue because basically you can start recording anyone when you’re wearing this piece of smart glasses.  Furthermore it’s a no brainer that consumers would not like Google ads in their glasses, which will ultimately appears as Google needs to monetize it one way or another.
